Rivaner 2022
Don't be surprised by the name RIVANER, it is our very successful variety Muller Thurgau, which in some areas is called RIVANER. Besides that, the vineyard hunt on which the grapes were born is about 2 km away from the river Váh, so the name from the word "River" certainly belongs to him :)
The year 2022 did not bring us much joy, but it must be said that the grapes of this variety were beautifully healthy and well-ripened (20.2 degrees of sugar content). However, what is the main change compared to last year - the wine is harvested for the first time from the reconstructed vineyards of the Bakšajka vineyard field directly in Bojničky village - so it is the so-called virgin harvest. And what can we say about the new Rivaner from these young vineyards? For its "childish" age, it has a beautiful, discreet fruity aromatic expression dominated by garden peaches and citrus fruits. The taste is beautifully pure and full, reproducing its aromas, complemented by a familiar hint of sweet tropical fruits.
Wine aging is 1-2 years, the wine is suitable for some types of cheese / Gouda, Emmental /, but you are certainly not make a mistake if you enjoy it with pasta or fish dishes - based on a more neutral expression in the taste, there are many opportunities.
